Marching to Zion by Mary Glickman

Smith goes on a journey that many young might not be in too much of a hurry to run from. This book was an easy read, I would love to know more about Jeremiah Johnson but hopefully it will be a best-seller as well. Wisdom is brilliant. A storyteller who knows how to get you going and then dropping you into a hot fire and making you reevaluate life decisions. There must be a sequel…. Good job Ms. May 26, Janice Ross rated it it was amazing.

Separating “Sheep” and “Goats”

Although this story is short, it is remarkable and thought-provoking. At the end of Harold's life, he is faced with confronting his demons. It was a difficult thing to do because it forced him to realize that a life of hate was not worth living. Zion's Road by Imani Wisdom is such a powerful read, and it makes readers eager to look within and come to terms with their shortcomings while they are still alive.

Joseph Smith and Zion’s Camp

But, I was glad I did. Imani Wisdom is an excellent writer and I look forward to reading her next book. Excellent job! Forgiveness and Redemption I was surprised by this story. The beginning I was angry at Harold for his racists ways and just like today had little sympathy for hatred in death. Through the story I found my hatred for him no different than his.

Even though I only hated because of his racism it is still hate. In order to change a person fear of the unknown we must learn to teach love to our children and love our fellow man as God loves us. This is what Harold learns on his journey. Excellent story. May 27, Shanta Gray rated it it was amazing.

17 Miracles: The Handcart Saga on the Big Screen

When I first started reading this book I was confused on why someone would write such a harsh betrayal of racism in However by the end of the book I was amazed at the way Imani was able to write such a successful story with so little pages. This is a short story but it is filled with so much emotion you forget its a short story until it's done. I truly felt like I was walking the journey with Harold.

Feb 27, LaToya Murchison rated it it was amazing. This was a very interesting book and it defiantly did not in the way I expected. Zion's road did not hold in punches and it went straight to the races issues that we still face in today's society. It also shows us that we need to be mindful of how we treat and talk to others. The ending is what surprised me the most. Zion's Road is a book that everyone should read at least once.

I am looking forward to reading it again. May 19, K.

Zion's Road A Love Story about Faith and Redemption

Thought provoking read OMG I am so behind on my 'to do' reading list. This was first up in my catch up pile. Although this is my first read by Imani it definitely won't be my last. This book made me want to revisit my past before my journey came. I never thought a journey to a better place could be so emotional. Awesome read. Sep 16, C. Lynette rated it it was amazing. I absolutely loved this book. It was heart-wrenching, loving and shows forgiveness and understanding. Some may say it misses the crux of Christianity, in my opinion it shows what a true Christian is supposed to do for redemption.

It was a complete surprise and I had no idea of which direction she was taking it. I appreciate Imani taking this direction with the book.

Breath taking! This story was very engaging and tightly plotted. I was literally on the edge of my seat by the end. My only wish was a break in scenes, it reads continuously. However, that's only a minor issue. Highly recommended.
